Responsibilities: Maintaining discipline and custody of detainees at the Saunders County Correctional Facility, transporting detainees, ensuring that Nebraska Jail Standards are followed, completing all required training and perform other duties as required and/or directed.

Qualifications: Minimum requirements include: applicants must be at least 19 years of age or older; a US citizen; possess a High School Diploma or GED completion; possess a valid Nebraska Driver’s License; within one year of employment, successfully complete 80 hours of initial training for Correctional Officers; must attend and pass a minimum of 18 hours of continued education as directed by the Jail Director.
